| John Patronis attended MMI from 1981 to 1985. As a student, John played on the prep and college football teams, was inducted into the Morgan's Raiders in 1983, served as Commander of the organization in 1984 and in 1985, and also served as Brigade Commander. His many accolades include: President's Medal, Ashley Richardson Award, Demonstrated Leadership Award, Best All-Around School Student, V Award, National Honor Society, Prep Football Captain, Deans List, Commandants List, and the highest average in prep school natural science. Today, John owns and operates Patronis Steel and lives in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. |
| John Griffin attended MMI from 1982 to 1986. During his time there, he achieved the rank of Cadet Capt. and held the position as Brigade S-2. John was also active in sports both in high school and in junior college. After completing his senior year of high school he returned to Marion to play football for the junior college team. He was a member of the 1985 team that went undefeated 9-0. He was inducted into the Morgan's Raiders in 1983 and served as Commander of the organization in 1986. John left MMI in the spring of 1986 to attend Louisianna State University where he majored in Business. While at LSU, John was place kicker for the football team and was a member of the 1986 SEC Championship team. In his two years there, he was also a member of the Sugar and Gator Bowl teams. John currently lives in Jackson, Mississippi. He and his wife Kelly have 3 children. John works with his brother, William who was also a Morgan's Raider in 1973. Together, they run Griffin & Griffin Exploration, LLC. Griffin & Griffin is an independent Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company. |
| Originally from Greenville, Alabama, Paul Stabler enrolled in Marion Military Institute in 1985 as a high school junior. He remained at MMI through his freshman year in college and then transferred to Auburn University. While at Marion, Paul played high school basketball, high school golf, and was a member of the Morgan's Raiders. He went on to earn a Management degree from Auburn's School of Business and was a member of Sigma NU Fraternity while there. Paul works for a national distillate products marketing company specializing in bulk fuels for large commercial and industrial customers. In addition to his duties as a fuel marketer, Paul also serves on the board of Hunter Benn Lands, Inc. He is a lifetime member of the MMI Alumni Brigade and an avid supporter of Marion Military Institute. Paul and his wife Marion live in Mobile, Alabama where they are active in their community through various civic and social activities and are members of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. They have two young children. |
